German Coleslaw

1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar. 1/2 c. salad oil. 1 c. vinegar. 1 tsp. salt. 1 tsp. celery seed. 1/2 to 1 tsp. dry mustard. Combine the shredded cabbage, diced onion and pepper. Boil dressing mix for 3 minutes and pour hot dressing over vegetables. Cover tightly; refrigerate at least 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
