In buying a ready-made starter for our sourdough bread recipe, we produced a flavorful loaf while eliminating the weeks of intense.

Step 2 - Autolyse. Weigh out your sourdough starter and water into a large ceramic or glass bowl. Mix the water and starter together briefly. Then add your flour and salt and mix whole lot together to form a shaggy dough. Cover your bowl with cling film or a damp tea towel and let it sit for around 1 hour.

Baking schedule for easy sourdough bread. 24 hours before making dough, bring starter to room temp, feed 2-3 times. 5 pm: mix dough, let sit for 15-60 minutes. 6 pm: 4 stretch and fold wait 30-45 mins between. 9 pm: shape the dough into a round ball about 6 inches in diameter.

Place the sourdough into the pot using the silicone sling or parchment paper as a handle. Put the lid on and place into the hot oven. If you want to you can spritz your dough with extra water before you put the lid on. BAKE TIME: 30 Minutes with the lid on at 230C/450F plus 10-15 Minutes with the lid off at 210C/410F.

In a clean jar, weigh out 50 grams each of whole wheat flour and water. Mix well. Put a rubber band around the jar at the height of the starter to give a visual indication when the starter has risen. Cover the jar loosely with a glass or plastic lid, or a clean napkin secured with a rubber band. Set the jar aside in a warm spot out of direct.

Add the einkorn wheat flour first and mix well with a wooden spoon or spatula. Add the Bread flour and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Cover and place back in the oven with the light on for 2-hours (turning off the light after 30-minutes) Separately, in a small bowl dissolve the salt into 50 grams of water.

Put all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir with a sturdy spoon to combine. Cover and let sit at room temperature for 12 hours. After 12 hours, use your hands to form the dough into a ball, then transfer the covered bowl into the fridge for another 8-12 hours (or up to 4 days).

Instructions. Squelch all of the ingredients together briefly (just for a minute is enough) with your hand. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Stretch and fold the dough into the bowl several times for about a minute. Cover and leave it out on the counter overnight, 6 to 8 hours.

Step 24: Reduce the temp to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and then carefully remove the lid of the Dutch Oven. Lift the bread with the parchment paper and place inside. Put the lid back on and bake for 25 minutes. Step 25: After the 25 minutes, remove the lid and bake another 25 minutes.

Mix only the flour and water together, nothing else, and let sit in a covered container for 12 hours at room temperature. You could call this a 12-hour autolyse. Next, sprinkle the dough in the container with salt (2% of the flour weight) and add 10 grams (only TEN - not a typo) of active, refreshed sourdough starter.

Day 1: Add 100 grams of flour + 150 grams of lukewarm water to a jar and mix. Day 2: Keep only 70 grams of mature (old) starter + add 100 grams of flour + 115 grams of lukewarm water. Day 3: Repeat steps from day 2. Day 4: Repeat steps from day 3 but decrease the water to 100 grams. Day 5: Repeat step from day 4.

Mix the ingredients in the table above in a clean jar (I use the same sourdough starter jars) and leave it at warm room temperature, 74-76°F (23-24°C), for 5 to 6 hours. When it's ready, it will be expanded, bubbly on top, inside, and at the sides, and have a slightly sour aroma.

Step 2. In a small mixing bowl, stir together 300 grams (about 1¼ cups) lukewarm tap water with the sourdough starter, then pour the mixture into the bowl with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a tea towel and leave it to rise overnight, about 10 to 24 hours. Step 3.

Feed Starter: About 24 hours before you want to bake your bread, feed 25 grams of starter with 25 grams of whole wheat flour, 50 grams of unbleached all purpose flour, and 75 grams of filtered water at 90 F (32 C). Float Test: 8-10 hours after feeding your starter gently drop a spoonful of starter in a glass of water.
