25 Gender*:Male Toyota Model:Landcruiser 200 Posted January 8, 2008 I am just about to buy a Kluger Grande. However having had several 4WD (All Toyota) I was wondering how the Kluger AWD performs off road - definately NOT extreme, but run of the mill National parks, low creek fording etc.

I've definitely read your posts on the most out of Highlander (Kluger) off road, TrailDust. Regarding the open diff reducing the torque to the wheels with traction when one or more wheels are of the ground, honestly, in the couple of situations when a wheel was well off the ground, I was able to power through with no problem.

As a few of you will know, the Toyota Highlander (Kluger) - mine is a 2004 V6 AWD - is surprisingly capable off-road. It can tackle tracks much worse than logging roads, but certainly not as extreme as the Rubicon Trail!
