Morrell Lookout and Beyond. Up, On and Over. June 22, 2017. Andi Bourne, Pathfinder. Morrell Lookout sits at 7,700 feet atop Morrell Mountain overlooking Seeley Lake. It is staffed every summer from early July through mid-October, depending on the fire season. It is open to the public when it is staffed.

Cross the brook and continue on towards the beach. The distance for this trail is measured for one way. Please note several trees are down across the trail.

Seeley Lake Area. There's so much to like about the Seeley Lake Area all year. During the summer, the lakes are a great way to cool off. In the fall, the colorful western larch forests are quite a sight as you take a stroll on a day hike. In the winter, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling are perfect ways to get off the couch.

Seely Beach Lookout Nine generations of the Seely family lived and worked in the area most notably Linus who survived the Saxby Gale in 1869 and later lumbered and farmed in the area. Several geographic areas were later named in honour of the Seely family - the most prominent being Seely Beach on the Fundy Trail Parkway.

Option 2: Western Entrance (through St. Martins) Turning right, you will travel through the village of St. Martins and to the western end of the Fundy Trail. These two access points makes it great to drive a scenic loop from Sussex! Option 1: At Needle Street, turn left onto Waterford Road toward Fundy Trail East Gate.
