We know Charlie , Gabriel, Fritz, Jeremy and Susie are all gone, because there's only one soul controlling UCN, Golden Freddy. He stayed behind. So it makes sense he would possessed the blob because he's the only ghost left. Maybe that's what the G.F cutscene in UCN meant, he was there all twitchy and fading into the void because he was left.

many people keep referring to "The Blob" as Molten Freddy. but these people have probably not viewed the model in game or in a 3d software. "The Blob" is a name given by the developers in the files. it may or may not be the canon name. it is an amalgamation of many animatronics spanning from the games. so i feel as if it shouldnt be referred to as "Molten Freddy".
