The Turtle Ship, or Geobukseon (거북선 or "Kŏbuksŏn" in Korean), was a warship of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897). The Turtle Ship was based on the Panokseon ("board-roofed") warship. After covering the whole deck of the panokseon with a metal board, you get the Turtle Ship.
