Just an hour outside Las Vegas lie the Muddy Mountains, a magnificent range of rugged limestone clifs and canyons along the north shore of Lake Mead. A thrust fault layers limestone over sandstone, with a "window" eroded through to reveal sandstone underneath at the Bowl of Fire and Hidden Valley. Contained partially within the Lake Mead.

Getting to Quarry Lake in Texada Island? We have seen the signs on Quarry Lake on Texada Island which say "Private Property - Tresspass AT YOUR OWN RISK" as of a couple years ago. However, I heard they are becoming more strict about this. ie: you CAN enter, but it's not recommended by owners. Is this true?
