Road to 150 - Prince Edward Island. Back in 2017, we did a 150-day road trip across Canada to make a 12-part travel video series about each and every province. Prince Edwards Island was our third stop, after both Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. We started our trip by staying in Cavendish, which is home to Green Gables Historical Place and the starting point of Prince Edward Island National Park.

Take Advantage of the Fall Harvest. Much of the Island's produce is harvested between August and October so farmer's markets and restaurants are absolutely brimming with locally sourced flavours. PEI potatoes and fresh pumpkins dominate the culinary scene. Take full advantage and make a famous PEI Potato Pie, pair it with Gahan Pumpkin Ale.

You come to PEI for the beaches and shoreline for that kind of thing. Do some of the coastal drive. Pick random beach signs. Explore. Stop in Montague for a quick bite at Reds, or go into bogside for a pub with great drinks/food, or stop at Clamdiggers in Cardigan for a great sitdown, or go to Richards in St. Peters for the best fish n chips.
