The Cherry — and occasionally Lime — Waldorf Salad was an oft-seen member of our dinner rotation growing up. (Minus the bananas and add walnuts, as my dad only ate bananas in their natural state.) The "salad dressing" they're referring to was a twist on mayo (think Miracle Whip — only worse) and fortunately never made it onto our table.
