The VW T4 Eurovans were produced by Volkswagen from 1990 to 2003, replacing the much loved VW T3s. The name Eurovan was adopted in the US but in Europe (and the UK especially) we refer to the van as a T4 camper or just simply a T4. The T4 was the first van made by Volkswagen to feature a front-mounted, water-cooled engine.

I have looked at Timing the diesel pump on here but wondered if ther was an easier way than with a dial gauage etc? Just had my belts done and the local guy said he just marked up the pump etc and put it back - I am not convinced it.

#1 · Sep 19, 2012 I just removed my injection pump and replaced the cold start solenoid because the old one had a wire that broke off inside the connector. I put everything back together and today I'm trying to set the timing on my injection pump and no matter what position I set the injection pump to, it always says "timing too advanced to plot".
