Sesshoumaru and His father look simialr to the Great Pyrenees Mountain dog, the Maremma Sheepdog, the Kuvasz, the Akbash Dog, or the Polish Tatra Sheepdog. 19 eerirhea • 3 yr. ago Sesshomaru's is HIS tail lol. Setsuna's mokomoko was a gift from Sessh, so it looks like he may have just cut off part of his mokomoko to give it to her. My understanding is that inu hanyo don't have them naturally because they can't transform into the giant dog, like Sessh, Toga and Sesshomaru's mom can.

I always guessed that the humanoid form requires some minimal life energy/ demon energy to maintain which must have slowly dissipated after his death and his dead body reverted to original form.
