abr de 2023. Fiquei emocionado por estar no local único na terra. E foi lindo. Com o vento soprando e o mar, tentei imaginar como aqueles primeiros exploradores (e exploradores) se sentiram ao partir do mundo conhecido. A área do farol tem muitos mirantes impressionantes e há uma passarela, mas o tempo não me permitiu explorá-la.

History The lighthouse as seen at the edge of Ponta de Sagres, the extreme southwest corner of continental Portugal. As part of the 5th centenary commemorations marking the birth of Henry the Navigator, in 1894 the lighthouse was inaugurated. The third navigational advisory, dated 3 March 1894, indicated that he light was a fixed red beacon, with a 5 miles (8.0 km), using a petroleum lamp.
