Port of Tyne reconfigured part of its International Passenger Terminal, North Shields, close to Newcastle upon Tyne, in order to create a brand new baggage handling facility for Marella Cruises (UK-based brand/subsidiary company of TUI AG).. Converting 300 m2 (3230 ft2) of space at the terminal created extra capacity for 1000 bags plus 382 new parking lots and a 10x30 m (33x98 ft) marquee/tent.
