The Thatched House Museum is a traditional Tristan cottage newly built in 2012 from locally quarried volcanic rock and thatched with New Zealand flax. It is lined inside with painted wood, which in the past would have been salvaged from shipwrecks, and furnished in traditional style. It even has a traditional outside privy!

There's a museum called "Traditional Thatched House Museum" that's available as a guesthouse for one night for two people. They made themselves readily available, spoke great English, and can tell you everything about Croatia's history, culture and people.
