So far I'm using the Muse touched aasimar with 18 Dex and charisma, 14 inteligence for some skills. Starting off with trickery stealth persuasion perception and mobility skills.

unbongwah โข 2 yr. ago Archaeologist trades away most bardsongs for some extra skill bonuses, Archaeologist's Luck, and rogue-ish abilities like Evasion and Uncanny Dodge. So many builds only splash Archaeologist to access the low-hanging fruit and "prime the pump" for access to prestige classes.

I started as an Archaeologist, dual-classed to Rogue and then finally Dragon Disciple. My current character is 5 Arch/4 Rogue/2 Dragon Disciple. 5 Arch gets you Archaeologist's Luck +2, which adds +2 to pretty much everything he/she can do in combat and out. I'm thinking of taking another Rogue level to get another 1d6 Sneak Attack damage, but his stealth is high and he hits a lot with sneak.

Archaeologist makes a decent Dex-based melee build because they get Uncanny Dodge and rogue talents. For your abilities, go 10-16-14-10-10-16 (before racial mods.) Any race is okay as long as you're getting a bonus to Dex or Cha without a penalty to either of those, but human, halfling, gnome, and aasimar (any of the +cha or +Dex variants.)
