This recipe uses 2 sticks of butter which is one cup of solid butter or 16 tablespoons of butter. When the butter is heated and browned (and water evaporates) the volume reduces. So 2 sticks of butter yield 3/4 cup brown butter or 12 tablespoons. If you use a 1 tablespoon silicone mold, you'll have 12 Brown Butter Bites.
