For as unnecessary a sequel as "Crocodile Dundee II" is, the follow up to 1986's smash "Crocodile Dundee" is appealing and entertaining in and of itself. Admirably, the sequel travels in different tonal and narrative directions that its predecessor, and, while it is not as soundly enjoyable as the first film, it is a solid second chapter.
