A breaching drill can kill a vehicle twice it's points in a single round of combat, and do a lot of work against elite, low model count units (like terminators) in melee. They've also got a 4+ invuln in melee, so they're a hard counter to a lot of the kinds of units that like to bully IG. A lot of that utility comes from the Crush Them strat.

Hades Breaching Drill? What is everyone's opinion on the Hades Breaching Drill? I was suggested this as a decent melee threat. They also have a nifty deep striking option and are a transport. The transport seems limited to veterans however, could I stuff them with Crusaders?

The Hades Breaching Drill can only attack via the Ram! Action (see Only War Core Rulebook page 273), however the Hades uses the weapon profile for the rotary power cutters/melta-cutter to determine the amount of Damage. The Hades takes no Damage from Ram! Actions as they are designed to push through solid rock without slowing down.
