Seven acts - Clark Barrios Band, Uncle Bob's Rock Shop, Swing Theory, MPIRE, Andrew Morris Band, Dance Express and Blue Stone Circle - are paid $1,200 per performance. Over the coming weeks, the groups that make up Bands of The Villages will crack open the music folders to prepare for a new season. The Villages Concert Band, under the direction of Jean Butler, gets underway today with its first rehearsal. The band will work on music for its 20th anniversary concert to be held in October at North Lake.
